Pedro founded Altimapa to help UK and European businesses access non-traditional finance sources. Previously, he led the Corporate Risk Advisory team at Nomura, and the Credit Analytics team at Merrill Lynch. He started his career in quantitative analytics within banking before covering a variety of roles across structuring and analytics. Pedro is an experienced angel investor and business coach and holds a PhD in Physics from Strathclyde University.
Managing Director - Trade Finance & Working Capital
Matt joined Altimapa in 2019 to grow the Working Capital and Trade Financing business. Matt's career as a Corporate Finance professional spans over 25 years working in the Trade & Export Finance; Asset Finance & Asset Based Lending sectors. Matt was a Co-Founding MD of GMAC (UK) Asset Finance and Landsbanki Equipment Finance, and most recently a co-founding director of Ex Works Capital’s London office. Matt holds a Finance & Leasing Degree from London City University.

Lala Huseynbeyova joined Altimapa in 2019 to grow the Structured Finance and Capital Markets business. She has previously worked for HSBC, EBRD as well as privately owned banks. Lala's primary focus is structured finance and placements for financial institutions as well as corporate clients across different economic sectors. She has experience in debt, equity and project finance facilities. Lala holds master's degree in engineering and Master of Business Administration.
Managing Director - Growth Capital
Claire joined Altimapa to develop Growth Capital Lending. She has experience in early-stage equity finance and has advised technology startups and investors for the past nine years, within the innovation ecosystem. Claire started a 14 year career in Corporate Banking with Natixis in Paris and ABN AMRO in London. Claire holds a Masters in Applied Mathematics from Ecole Centrale Paris, MBA from London Business School and Columbia Business School, and the FT Non-Executive Director Diploma.

David joined Altimapa with a focus on Structured Commodity Finance, Energy and Natural Resources. David has a long career in investment banking, having previously been Head of Commodities at ABN AMRO, Co-Global Head of Commodities at UBS, as well as being CEO of a London listed metals trading and broking business.

Vlad joins Altimapa having previously held roles in asset management and banking at Hadrian’s Wall Capital and MUFG Bank. His areas of expertise include structured finance, structured loans, and asset finance across a broad range of economic sectors and transaction sizes. Vlad holds a Financial Economics degree from the University of Leicester.

Aisha is responsible for Transaction Management and Placement at Altimapa. Aisha has previously been employed at VenCap and Intermediate Capital Group (LSE:ICP) within the Investor Relations and Investment teams. She holds an LLB from the the University of Sussex and an LLM in International Economic Law from the University of Warwick.
Associate - New Business
Alex joined Altimapa in the summer of 2020 and is responsible for New Business and Client Relationships. Alex started his career in the City of London in 2016 at ArchOver, a peer-to-peer lender and has built relationships with a variety of businesses looking to fund MBOs, acquisitions, recapitalizations and shareholder cash-outs. Prior to moving into finance, Alex worked for the Premier League and holds a BSc for Sports and Exercise Science from Brunel University.
Peter advises Altimapa's Board on business strategy and development. He was an Equity Capital Markets Analyst with Smith New Court and then KBC Peel Hunt for 25 years before developing a portfolio of private equity investments and directorships. He is a business mentor and, for fun, teaches captains of industry to sail yachts. He graduated in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
